What's Knee Injury?

Knee injuries are common in both athletes and the general population, often resulting from trauma, overuse, or degenerative conditions.

Symptoms

  • Pain: Varies in intensity and location depending on the injury.
  • Swelling: Often immediate and severe with acute injuries.
  • Instability: Feeling of the knee giving way, common with ligament injuries.
  • Stiffness: Reduced range of motion, especially with arthritis or meniscal tears.
  • Locking or Catching: Inability to fully extend or bend the knee, often seen with meniscal tears.
  • Bruising: Visible discoloration around the knee with fractures or severe sprains.
